Can I apply for more than one graduate course in the same admissions year?

We strongly encourage you to focus on a single application, but you it is possible to apply for up to three graduate courses in total for 2025-26 entry.

This can be a combination of taught and research courses, but a maximum of two taught course applications is permitted.

If you are applying to more than one course, check that you meet the entry requirements for each one and that all of the relevant courses are still open to applications. Please let your referees know that they will receive multiple reference requests if you are intending to apply for more than one course.

It is only possible to apply for the same course twice within the same application cycle if you are applying for a research degree (DPhil) with a significantly different research proposal. If you are considering doing this, please contact the academic department first via the contact details included on the relevant course page to check whether they will permit this.

Unless you are eligible for a waiver, you will need to pay an application fee for a standard application. For taught courses such as PGCert, PGDip, MSc or MPhil, the application fee is £75, and for research course such as MSc by Research or DPhil, it is £20.

Please note, it is not permitted to enrol for a full-time course at the University of Oxford while also registered for another course (either part-time or full-time) at Oxford or another institution.
